Pézenas: 8,000 inhabitants, 39 historic monuments, 1 defining figure: Molière. That ought to be enough to convince you that this town is well worth the detour. Add to this the sunshine of the south, an undying passion for theatre, the beauty of the surrounding nature and the traditional carnival and you really won’t need any more excuses to visit Pézenas.
