Not (only) because this town is the historic cradle of French clock-making! Delicately set amid the meanders of the River Doubs, nestling at the foot of the Citadel, the town displays its charms to anyone who wishes to admire them. The church of Saint-Pierre
Whilst the Citadel (UNESCO World Heritage) is well known, it’s also worth remembering the rich religious heritage, such as the church of Saint-Pierre. Although the current building dates from the 18th century, we know that a site of worship has stood on this spot since the 4th century!
