Club Med, this must be the place

Sublime skiing, snowball fights and seriously memorable stays await skiing families at Club Med’s exclusive les Chalet de Valmorel Chalet-Apartments.

Slow down a little. Savour that moment … the purity of the white snow. The rich scent of Spruce trees. Now, you have arrived at Le Chalet de Valmorel, Club Med’s handsome wooden chalet-apartments, tucked away on the slopes of the Massif du Cheval Noir in the famous Grand Domaine, 1,460 metres above sea level.
From well before check-in, everything is taken care of – for you, for the children, the whole family. Your ski equipment is arranged neatly in your personal locker. The children are pre-registered for Kids Club, and an inspiring, photo album-worthy list of holiday experiences has been conveniently pre-booked for them (after all, Club Med is family-friendly at its finest). With the planning taken care of (as much as your heart desires), the most pressing decision, after your chalet door closes - and you take a close look around your beautiful chalet-apartment – is whether to sip a flute of fine champagne and soak in the view, switch on the spa, or request room service …

Seductive slopes

There is sublime skiing for people of all skillsets at Les Chalet de Valmorel, whether you’re a seasoned expert on adventurous black runs or an absolute beginner tentatively standing up on your skis. Within a moment’s reach are 50 ski lifts, and 149km of challenging ski runs (eight black, 17 red, 38 blue and 22 green) and two snow parks for Snow and Nordic walking and sledding. For beginners needing the eyes and ears of an expert by your side, group ski and snowboard lessons are part of your all-inclusive package.

You’ time

With the kids tucked away at Kids Club, it’s time for some ‘you’ time at the spa, or to pull out a book and curl up by the fireplace. Later, as the sun sets and the evening starts to stir, it’s time to sip a perfectly chilled champagne ahead of dinner. Why not explore the local village on foot. There are plenty of quality boulangeries, and stores with local cheese and saucisson to discover. Ask your hosts to reserve a table for you at La Laiterie Gourmet Lounge. Or, head to the buffet restaurant before strolling over to Le Roc Bar where an evening of entertainment awaits. It’s safe to say you haven’t truly experienced a luxurious, family-friendly snow holiday until you have stayed at Club Med’s exclusive Les Chalet de Valmorel chalet-apartments.

Family Affair

When you crave quality family time, and lashings of laughter and fun, complimentary activities from Club Med abound. Pancake parties, baking workshops and picnics … these activities are all included and pre-organised for when you’re ready. What better place – at the foot of the pistes, surrounded by snowy summits, to cosy up and savour time together as a family.

Easy being green

It’s reassuring to know that stays at Les Chalet de Valmorel leave a light footprint. Chalets are ‘Green Globe certified’ – meaning that from waste management to energy use and biodiversity preservation, the environmental responsibilities of these exclusive chalet-apartments are taken seriously. It’s also assuring to know you won’t see single-use plastics in any bars, restaurants and rooms, either.
