In the Heart of the City

The Jardin du Luxembourg, nicknamed the Luco by Parisians, is one of the green lungs of Paris. Its botanical heritage is as sought after as its architectural heritage and the seats provided to the public are stormed when the weather is nice. The garden gates regularly host photo exhibitions.

A Little Height

The Parc des Buttes Chaumont, built around its lake, is, without doubt, the steepest of the capital. Its cave and its fake stalactites, as well as the temple of Sibyl and the different bridges, make it an original strolling area. Its large lawns attract readers, picnickers and sun worshippers from spring.

Le jardin du Bois

In the heart of the Bois de Boulogne, the Parc de Bagatelle is famous for its rose garden with 10,000 rose bushes. Its romantic atmosphere is ideal for a stroll. Exhibitions, as well as classical music concerts are regularly organized there.

On the Banks of the Seine

In 1992, a new park was created in Paris, on the site of the former Citroën factory. A modern park, it is the only one in the capital to open directly onto the Seine. Weather permitting, you can set off on the Ballon de Paris for a hot air balloon ride.

As Far as the Eye Can See

Montsouris Park is one of the largest in the capital. Its reservoir is visited during European Heritage Days. And in nice weather, between May and September, concerts are organized on the bandstand.

A Garden Within a Garden

The Jardin des Plantes houses the Botanical School, an Alpine garden, the iris and perennial plants garden, the rose garden and the rockery (all free), as well as the large greenhouses, different museums and its menagerie (fee).
