The Fascinating Weekend

The Fascinating Weekend is back from 17 to 20 October 2024. From Alsace to Bordeaux and Champagne, the "Vignobles et Découvertes" regions offer more than 700 festive and unusual wine-related activities: gourmet walks, concerts in the vineyards, dinners with Michelin-starred chefs, rediscovering French heritage, boat or electric scooter rides... A different way to discover France's Wine Routes.

It's a busy weekend for wine lovers in October! Over four days, around sixty Vignobles et Découvertes vineyards in nine French wine regions (Alsace, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Cognac, Provence-Alpes Côte d'Azur, Occitanie and Val de Loire) will be offering more than 700 festive, educational, unusual and sporting activities. A great opportunity to discover the local heritage and the history of the vineyards, not forgetting the products of the vine...

Visit the Fascinant Week-End website soon to find out about some of the unusual activities available at the 2023 event near your holiday destination. (External link)

700 wine-related activities

In 2022, for the ninth edition of Fascinant Week-End, more than 700 activities were offered in French vineyards. These included a side-car tour of the vineyards of the Pays d'Aix in Provence, a horse-drawn carriage ride through the vineyards of Vendôme in the Loire Valley, an introduction to sparkling wine tasting - in moderation - in Limoux in the Occitanie region, a meeting with a winegrower in Cognac followed by a sensory workshop in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, a night-time walk through the vineyards of the Côte des Bar in Champagne and a festive evening with a DJ in the company of winegrowers in the Rhône Valley
