Why not take advantage of spring break to (re)discover the châteaux of the Dordogne? From April 11 to May 3, as part of the “Châteaux en fête” festival, nearly 100 châteaux, manor houses, and exceptional heritage sites will open their doors to offer a wide range of fun, cultural, sporting, and culinary activities.
New homes to discover!
The diversity of proposals is at the heart of the project, with more castles joining the initiative, reaching 70 participating castles.

Having become an annual event for lovers of architectural heritage, the owners will surprise and propose original ideas to enhance their properties.
Candlelit visits and meals, artisan or producer markets, dramatised costume tours, music concerts or dance performances are some examples of events that you should not miss.

What if we extend the life of the castle?
These incredible residences make you want to sleep, and some of these 70 participating castles offer accommodation so you can extend the fairy tale for a weekend, or more.
Bastide en fête
This is the major festive and culinary event of the fall (the fourth weekend in October). Over the course of three days, it celebrates the Périgord way of life in the heart of the Bastides, these new towns from the Middle Ages designed according to a unique urban layout. Every year, the event features a lively program combining gourmet markets and entertainment for all ages (street performances, concerts, medieval banquets, and more).
