Chic recess around the Luxembourg garden

With its idyllic wooden boats floating on the central basin, the Luxembourg Garden is an inescapable stop for family trips in Paris. Countless spots around her will please kids and parents—here's a list of our favorites!

Get fresh air at the garden

With dozens of sculptures and century-old trees, the Luxembourg garden (or the "Luco" as Parisians call it) offers 25 hectares (60 acres) of green with wonderful flowerbeds, lawns to frolic in, beehives, playgrounds, tennis courts, and a central basin where kids can sail their wooden sailboats.

Initiation to contemporary art

At the heart of a lush garden and in a splendid transparent building, the Cartier Fondation for contemporary art hosts exhibitions with activities and workshops for kids. They also offer tours guided by a mediator to share contemporary art with the whole family, which explore the always-creative exhibtions.
