Vignobles & Découvertes: Coeur de Savoie

The Vignobles & Découvertes label aims to provide quality services and visits catering to wine tourism. The label appeals to a customer base that appreciates the world of wine without necessarily being connoisseurs, and offers a range of quality services: accommodation, cultural sites, leisure activities, cellar tours, restaurants, exploration of natural spaces, events and more.

Two destinations in Savoy have been awarded the label: Coeur de Savoie and Savoie, Lac du Bourget.

Destination: Coeur de Savoie

The “Cœur de Savoie” destination stretches over 30 kilometres between Chambéry, the historic capital of Savoy, and the Olympic city of Albertville. AOC vineyards with unique grape varieties - Mondeuse, Jacquère and Altesse - are planted on the hillsides of the Bauges and Chartreuse massifs, offering visitors verdant landscapes dominated by the Mont Blanc massif.

Located at the crossroads of two major routes linking Grenoble to Geneva in one direction and Lyon to Turin in the other, the “Cœur de Savoie” destination boasts a wealth of major natural and heritage riches and offers a selection of activities and tourist sites that showcase the wine-growing culture: 22 cellars, 15 restaurants, 25 accommodation options (hotels, campsites, gîtes, B&Bs) and four heritage sites.

Six activity providers and four tourist centres will be able to help travellers organise a unique stay and discover the destination.
