Vignobles & Découvertes: Le Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées

The Vignobles & Découvertes label aims to provide quality services and visits catering to wine tourism. The label appeals to a customer base that appreciates the world of wine without necessarily being connoisseurs, and offers a range of quality services: accommodation, cultural sites, leisure activities, cellar tours, restaurants, exploration of natural spaces, events and more.

Destination: Le Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées

The Beaujolais wine-growing area offers unique landscapes and architecture characterised by its villages filled with ochre stone houses. Here, visitors can taste great wines within cellars, country inns and village squares.

39 villages make up the “Le Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées” destination, including Theizé, Chessy-les-Mines, and Châtillon, to name just a few.

There are 40 partner cellars open to tourists and some 20 accommodation options, along with a choice of more than 25 restaurants serving traditional cuisine and local wine.

Visitors will be welcomed by the tourist offices of Villefranche Beaujolais, Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées and Pays de Tarare, or by a partner tourist centre.

They will be able to discover heritage sites such as the Château de Montmelas or the Château de Vaurenardand enjoy a number of activities linked to wine (available in several languages) and events thathighlight the local savoir-faire.
