Destination: Côte des Bar

The relatively recent "Côte des Bar" appellation refers to a massif with a degree of unity situated in the east of the department of Aube, where it meets the Champagne and Burgundy regions.

To the south of Troyes, the landscape forms an arc some 30 km wide and 70 km long, facing southeast/northeast. This region offers some amazing views that take in vineyards, forest, plateaus, rivers and the various vine-covered slopes; picturesque landscapes where the plain of Champagne ends and the Burgundy massifs begin.

Halfway up the hillsides of varying steepness, winegrowers have done a magnificent job of shaping the landscape into a mosaic of geometric plots of champagne-producing vineyards. Up on high, the undulating plateaus are interspersed with dense forests and crops. This is the landscape waiting to be explored and enjoyed by visitors.

Lovers of authenticity and sparkling pleasures will be sure to enjoy the Aube and its Champagne Trail! With its winegrowing culture, picturesque villages, exceptional vineyards, vaulted cellars and typical winegrowers huts called "cadolles", come and discover a unique region full of character.

Under the guidance of passionate, fascinating winegrowers, you will be let into the secrets of the "Wine of Kings", and taste an exceptional cru. Fleshy or fat, delicate or complex, champagne and the champagne-making process will no longer hold any mysteries for you!
