La Route des Crêtes in the Ballons des Vosges Nature Park

A superlative walking holiday! Tracing the border between Alsace and Lorraine, the Route des Crêtes winds along the summits of the Vosges for 77km. The Buysse brothers in yellow in Mulhouse

Mulhouse has seen a victory for three Tour de France winners: Nicolas Frantz, Bernard Hinault and Laurent Fignon, who all went on to win in Paris. Amongst the anecdotes involving this regular fixture in the Tour de France we have the Buysse brothers, the only brothers in the history of the race to have both worn the Yellow Jersey in the same year’s Tour.
