La Route des Crêtes in the Ballons des Vosges Nature Park

A superlative walking holiday! Tracing the border between Alsace and Lorraine, the Route des Crêtes winds along the summits of the Vosges for 77km. Very popular with walkers, the circuit takes in mountains and high meadows. Make sure you don’t miss the panoramic views of the Green, Black, and White lakes!

Mulhouse has seen a victory for three Tour de France winners: Nicolas Frantz, Bernard Hinault and Laurent Fignon, who all went on to win in Paris. Amongst the anecdotes involving this regular fixture in the Tour de France we have the Buysse brothers, the only brothers in the history of the race to have both worn the Yellow Jersey in the same year’s Tour.

Le Rucher des Mûriers is a little family bee farm a few kilometres from Mulhouse. Organic honey, sweets, beeswax candles... they sell a range of bee-related products. Bee-lovers can also try their hand at bee farming with a taster course.
