Take the family skiing with Peak Retreats

Where to go in the Alps?
If you’re seeking a family-friendly resort, you’re spoilt for choice in the Northern French Alps. Tignes 1800 boasts a large beginners’ ski area, a snow park and an ice grotto, as well as access to the entire Tignes-Val d’Isère domain. One of the resort’s principal properties, Kalinda, featured by Peak Retreats, is ideally located at the foot of the 8-seater Boisses gondola and has a generously-sized baby pool in addition to its main swimming pool. Restaurants, a bakery and the ESF ski school are all within easy reach.
Finally a holiday that will please everyone
At the heart of the scenic Haute Maurienne region, Val Cenis borders the stunning Parc National de la Vanoise and is another a great choice for families, with more than 80kms of marked piste and a vertical drop of 1400m. Its 10-kilometre green run is great for building beginners’ confidence. Peak Retreats features some great accommodation here that is conveniently located next to the lifts, ESF (École de Ski Française) kindergarten and ski school meeting point, and close to all amenities.
Non-skiers? No worries!
Samoëns appeals to families with non-skiers in the party, or those accompanied by grandparents who perhaps don’t ski as much. Peak Retreats loves this beautiful village with a market square, historic church, quaint narrow streets with cafés and little boutiques, it’s the perfect place for a wander while the rest of the family hit the slopes. If you fancy something different, you can take a guided tour of the village on the little ‘Septitrain’, or embark on a dog-sledge ride to admire the snow-covered scenery of the Upper Giffre Valley.
