1 - Enjoy Lake Annecy
To the west, the Bauges massif. To the east, the Bornes massif. Bordered by mountains, Lake Annecy is one of the largest natural lakes in France: its clear, sparkling waters make it a very popular holiday destination, not least because the town of Annecy itself is well worth a visit. Its colourful houses and canals have earned it the nickname "Venice of the Alps"! Here, you can combine the joys of water sports on the lake with those of mountain sports in the surrounding mountains: in summer, it's sailing, paragliding and hiking... In winter, head for the winter sports resorts of Savoie: La Clusaz can be reached in an hour by car; Chamonix and Mont Blanc in less than two hours!
2 - Playing the freshwater sailor
Architect Emilie Rollet has completely reinvented the establishment, with one inspiration: freshwater and its fish in the heart of the mountains! In fact, the hotel borrows its name from one of the region's most emblematic river dwellers, the Black Bass, also known as the black perch. The décor plays with the shape of the fish scale, shades of blue, curves and bubbles, without overdoing it. The result is a chic hotel in Annecy with a very modern feel.
3 - Relax in a room with a view
Here, facing Lake Annecy, everything has been designed to make the most of nature and the surrounding mountains: some of the 25 rooms at the Black Bass hotel offer a view of the forests and lush green landscapes surrounding the hotel, including its own 6,000m2 park; other rooms allow you to discover the lake from the balcony. In the background, on the other side of the lake, rises the massif des Bornes: an environment that invites rest and contemplation.
4 - Bubbling in the pool with an incredible view
Fancy a spot of relaxation? The shores of the lake are perfect for swimming, but the Black Bass Hôtel also has a large heated outdoor pool: from a deckchair, the view of Lake Annecy and the surrounding mountains is breathtaking.
5 - Treat yourself with chef Stéphane Buron
It was the chef from the double Michelin-starred Chabichou restaurant in Courchevel who came up with the menu for the bistronomic Black Bass restaurant in Annecy, with one idea in mind: to sublimate mountain produce, such as Féra, the famous lake fish. On the spot, chef Frédéric Delormes and pastry chef Olivier Ponticelli skilfully interpret the menu.
6 - Sipping a cocktail by the lake
Welcome to BBB, the Bar at the Black Bass Hôtel! On the terrace by the water, visitors and locals alike flock to enjoy fruity cocktails and tapas, also created by Michelin-starred chef Stéphane Buron. Tuna or beef tataki, oysters or caviar, there's something for everyone. Whether you're in a festive or contemplative mood, this is the place to be. A must in Annecy.
7 - Pamper yourself at the Sothys spa
Surrounded by an attractive heated indoor swimming pool, the Sothys spa hides a hammam, a sauna, three treatment rooms, a fitness room and a relaxation room. Here, the facial treatments are high performance, like the intensive hyaluronic acid treatment or the famous Soin excellence Secrets de Sothys ®. Some treatments are dedicated to sports enthusiasts. Massages and more traditional treatments are also available à la carte. So you can make the most of an active and relaxing stay in Annecy, between the lake and the mountains.
