Registering with Pôle Emploi as a jobseeker can entitle you to unemployment compensation or financial assistance, under certain conditions. These rights also involve fulfilling certain duties. The Pôle Emploi site therefore gives you details on the guarantees and commitments relating to the status of jobseeker. For example, registering with Pôle Emploi requires you to subscribe to certain obligations. Likewise, allocation of Back to Work Aid is subject to certain conditions. These include providing proof of 610 hours of work during the last 28 or 36 months, depending on whether you are under or over 50, being a registered jobseeker and being "effectively and permanently looking for work".
