Inviting landscapes, a generous terroir, wines with a unique Mediterranean accent, products and recipes full of the sun … Languedoc-Roussillon offers gourmets a sumptuous palette of temptations!

This vast wine-producing area, which stretches from Nîmes to the Pyrénées, has an ideal climate for growing grape vines and has stunningly diverse wines: fruity or strong reds, crisp or more complex whites, magnificent natural sweet wines, well-known sparkling wines and intense rosés.

Strong in general, the reds offer a broad aromatic palette: young Coteaux du Languedoc with hints of berries, or even pepper for Fitou, the well-structured Faugères and Saint-Chinian with its assertive bouquet, spicy Côtes du Roussillon, perfect with game in sauce and cassoulet.

There are also some excellent whites: exotic notes on grilled fish, crisp wines to enjoy with the delicious oysters of Bouzigues or more complex on dishes in sauces. The famous Blanquette de Limoux, a sparkling wine with hints of green apple and honey, is a popular aperitif.

Lunel, Frontignan, Rivesaltes… Magnificent natural sweet wines which express their crystallised fruit and floral hints alongside veined blue cheeses, such as Roquefort, or fruit-based desserts. The intensity of Maury and Banyuls is a perfect match with desserts with dark chocolate.
