The Gironde, a region full of colours and flavours: sample its art of living and explore its vineyards, learn about food/wine pairings at the Bordeaux school of wine… A divine invitation!

Mouton-Rothschild, Yquem, Latour, Haut-Brion, Angélus… Some of the exciting stars of Bordeaux! The famous classification of 1855, supplemented since then and still in effect, lists all of the grands crus. Exceptional châteaux and mythical wines that reflect a long wine-producing history.

From the youngest wines to the famous and legendary bottles, some sixty appellations cover all styles and all categories. In this very extensive wine-growing area, the secret of their character lies in the assemblage, the mixing of the varieties that make up each of these wines.

Saint-Estèphe and Pauillac with their powerful tannins, the elegant Saint-Julien, Saint-Émilion, the seductive Pomerol and the distinguished Fronsac, Côtes de Bordeaux, supple and nuanced… In general, the reds go with red meat, small game, and roast poultry, and some Médocs go well with chocolate desserts.

The intensity of the Graves, the complex Pessac-Léognan … The great dry white wines offer their aromatic richness to shellfish, white meat and noble fish. The highly-renowned sweet wines are remarkable with foie gras and desserts. The lively and fresh Entre-deux-Mers accompany paellas and tapas.
