A land of culture and gastronomy… The charms of the Alsace region unfold along its famous wine trail. From Mulhouse to Strasbourg: a delicious programme awaits you!

Alsace produces some fifty grands crus, mostly white wines. Slender bottles, typical aromas… These wines bear the names of the varieties that have built their reputations: Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris being the most noble, Pinot blanc, Sylvaner and Pinot noir, the only red variety.

Alongside the great dry white wines, there are prestigious appellations “Late harvests” and “Selection of noble grapes”. The specific and strict production conditions of these wines reinforce their unique aromatic power and the complexity and length on the palate.

The crémants, in white with a few rosés, round out these appellations: effervescent, crisp and elegant wines, produced according to the traditional method applied to the Pinot blanc variety. With the fruity and strong reds, the wines of Alsace allow for delicious and highly varied associations.

The rich palette of whites can accompany many foods: fine Riesling with fish and seafood, strong Gewurztraminer with spicy and exotic dishes, medium sweet wines for aged cheeses and desserts, crémants as an aperitif. The reds can go with cold cuts and patés, red meat and game.
