BTS, DUT: a professional French diploma in two years

The BTS and DUT, chunks of French technical education which can be accessed after the baccalauréat, are two short courses that are especially highly prized by French students who are keen to acquire the wherewithal to join the world of work quickly. The Higher Technicians' Certificates (BTS) enable you to study sales, accounting or management and go on work placements which are important for integration into the corporate world. The University Diplomas in Technology (DUT) are offered at the University Institutes of Technology (IUT). Bear in mind that you can of course carry on with your studies after these courses: the ONISEP has a quiz about where you can go after a BTS or a DUT.
