Paris and the Île-de-France region participate in all the cooperation networks in Europe and around the world. Cultural exchanges, quality of life, public service efficiency, local democracy: they exchange good practices with all the partner collectivities and participate in many European programmes. The Ile-de-France region manages European structural funds and is represented in Brussells. And while Paris is twinned exclusively with Rome, it belongs to several city networks and signs friendship pacts and decentralised cooperation pacts.
