Quai Branly Museum
You have a few hours to spare and you want to get away from it all? Welcome to the museum of “first arts”, quai Branly, for an immersion in the heart of “non” Western civilisations: Maoris, Mayas, Dogon, etc. At the foot of the Eiffel Tower, here are Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas as you never imagined them.
A 800 m2 plant wall : The museum, inaugurated on 20 June 2006 by Jacques Chirac, was designed by architect Jean Nouvel. The result: a building which is itself designed as a work of contemporary art with a mixture of plateaus, mezzanines, walkways.... and a 800 m2 plant wall. © Hemis.fr
