Neigbours, family or professional relations… there are many sources of conflict and their nature determines the type of court – legal or administrative - competent to resolve them.

The Ministry of Justice website explains which court you should approach according to the subject of the dispute and the competent jurisdiction.

To help a younger public to gain a better understanding of the French justice system, the Justimemo (Teen Justice) website offers practical details about how the justice system works: in particular it explains the organisation of a court case and looks at certain legal proceedings in detail (divorce, racketeering, sexual abuse, theft or child witnesses).
