From spring to autumn, music and light take over the gardens of the Château de Versailles. Discover these gardens as you have never seen them before, either in the day time or in the evening.

Each year, the gardens of the château de Versailles celebrate the arrival of spring by launching its Musical Fountain Display.

From the Château's terrace, the ideal place for admiring the wide view stretching to the horizon, visitors are invited to loose themselves in the maze of water and plants designed by André Le Nôtre and the best Italian fountain makers to satisfy the desires of Louis XIV.

The fountains in the pools decorated with mythological sculptures dance to tunes of baroque music, bringing the halcyon days of the park of Versailles back to life. As you go from one grove of trees to another, you will discover all of the splendours of the garden and can linger beside the superb pools (dedicated to Bacchus, Ceres, Leto, Apollo, the dragon, etc.) magnified by the play of the fountains.

The Grandes eaux nocturnes

In June, the beginning of summer is marked by the opening of the Nocturnal Fountain Display. At nightfall, the aquatic and luminous effects deployed, accompanied by music, transform the gardens into a true visual and audible odyssey. This year, you can especially admire lasers criss-crossing the space in the Colonnade grove and the spectacular crushing of the giant Encelade.

The evening will end with a firework display mounted by Groupe F, also responsible each year for the magnificent spectacle offered at the Pont du Gard during the astonishing Fééries du Pont.
